Let's get started by creating a note and exploring the drawing tools.

Create Your First Note & Explore the Drawing Tools
We want to make sure you never lose notes, there are two settings you should set to back up your notes — iCloud Syncing and Auto-Backup to Google Drive.
- Open Notability. This screen is your Note Library, with notes along the right and organization along the left.
- Tap the New Note button at the top right.

Get in the habit of always Naming a New Note right away!
- Tap on the name, then enter a new name. (This will not work if the hand tool is selected!)

- To write or draw in your note, tap the Pencil tool at the top
. Tap the Pencil again to select a Color and Line Thickness.

- Then start writing or drawing in your note!

- Tap Undo
if you make a mistake.
- Undo will remove the last stroke or change. Tap Undo again to remove the step before that, and so on.
- If you hold down on Undo, you can choose Redo.
- The Highlighter works the same way — tap the Highlighter tool at the top
. Then Tap it again to select a Color and Line Thickness.
- The highlighter can be used to add emphasis or as a painting tool.
- The highlighter colors can overlap, to blend the colors together.
- To Erase strokes in your note, tap the Eraser tool at the top. Drag the Eraser tool across any strokes you want to remove.

- To scroll to another spot in your note, tap the Hand tool at the top. Point to any spot in the note, then hold down and drag to scroll.

You can also scroll without changing tools by using two fingers — swipe up or down with two fingers to scroll.

- To draw straight lines, perfect circles and other geometric shapes, draw and don't pick up until the line becomes straight or the shape snaps into the perfect shape.
- Experiment by drawing a shape and not picking up your stylus or finger until the shape 'snaps' into place.
- You can even drag to reposition or resize the item before you let go.
- Lines will also 'snap' into horizontal and vertical alignment.
