1.2.9 | View Desktop Site to work with Google Docs
Working with the Google Docs app provides a slimmed-down set of tools for working with text documents. Sometimes, it would be nice to have the full Desktop tool set. Here's how you access that on an iPad:
-
Launch Safari on your iPad and go to google.com
-
Hold down on the Refresh Icon at the right side of the address bar and choose Request Desktop Site from the popup menu.
-
Tap the Waffle/Grid icon at the top right.
-
Hold down on Docs and choose Open from the popup menu.
This will open Docs in Desktop View within Safari. Now you can create or open docs and have the full editing tools from the desktop interface.
